<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous lithium type electricity storage element capable of achieving both high input/output characteristics at low temperature and high cycle life characteristics at high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous lithium type electricity storage element, a nonaqueous electrolyte and an electrode laminate which is obtained by laminating a negative electrode body, a positive electrode body and a separator are housed in an outer packaging body, a negative electrode material is a carbon material, and a positive electrode material is an active carbon. The nonaqueous electrolyte includes a nonaqueous solvent and a lithium salt dissolved in the nonaqueous solvent at a concentration of 0.5 mol/L or more. The nonaqueous solvent contains: an ordinary temperature molten salt formed of a cyclic quaternary ammonium organic compound cation and an anion comprising a nonmetallic element; and a cyclic carbonate and a chain carbonate.
