PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable falling of a radiograph photographing apparatus to be detected even when no photographing is performed during moving, setting or the like.

SOLUTION: A radiograph photographing system has a radiograph photographing apparatus provided with: a radiation detector that detects radiographs and a connecting part having connecting terminals for wired connection; a connecting device configured to be connectable to the connecting part and provided with acquiring means (S103) that acquires physical quantities that vary when the apparatus falls; and detecting means (S107) that detects, on the basis of the physical quantities acquired by the acquiring means of the connecting device, the falling of the radiograph photographing apparatus in a state in which the connecting device is connected to the radiograph photographing apparatus.
