<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems which the conventional technology has, namely, the problem in which measurement cannot be easily performed accompanying variation of a road situation in measurement using a laser distance meter, and the problem in which measurement accuracy is inferior when photograph measurement technology is utilized, and to provide a mobile mapping system by which the measurement is easily performed, which does not also require expensive measurement equipment, and by which high position accuracy is assured, a method for measuring a road object using the mobile mapping system, and a position specification program using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile mapping system automatically extracts, when a feature point of a road object in an acquired image is specified, two optimal images from images including the feature point, and specifies a position of the specified feature point based on a position of imaging means, an imaging direction and the two optimal images, in which the two optimal images are a combination so that an intersection angle formed between imaging azimuths thereof becomes 90° or approximately 90°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
