<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for facilitating editing of handwritten characters. <P>SOLUTION: A track of a character handwritten and inputted by a user is detected as a series of coordinate data, the detected series of coordinate data is stored as an input character history, and the coordinate data of the handwritten and inputted character is compared with the input character history. When the coordinate data of the handwritten and inputted character and the coordinate data of the input character history match, the coordinate data stored following the matching coordinate data is extracted from the input character history, and the coordinate data extracted from the input character history is outputted as an input candidate character string to be inputted next. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
