<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust apparatus for an internal combustion engine in which engine output characteristics can be improved in simple structure and a degree of freedom in layout can be ensured. <P>SOLUTION: An exhaust apparatus includes a plurality of exhaust pipes connected to exhaust ports of cylinders of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine, and a communication pipe which communicates the exhaust pipes to be paired via a communication port formed on a pipe wall of the exhaust pipes. A flange part is formed in a terminal portion of the communication pipe, and the flange part is welded and connected to the outer circumferential surface of the pipe wall of the exhaust pipe. When the exhaust pipe is watched from a length direction of the communication pipe, a cross sectional of a communication path of the communication pipe becomes a flat shape that extends along with the length direction of the exhaust pipe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
