<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car washing machine capable of miniaturizing a car washing machine body by simplifying an ascending/descending structure of a top brush. <P>SOLUTION: In the car washing machine, a top brush 4 for washing a top surface of a vehicle CA to be washed is arranged in an upper section of a car washing machine body 1 straddling the vehicle CA to be washed. The car washing machine includes: a wire 63 which is connected to the top brush 4 to suspend the top brush 4; a winder 81 which winds the wire 63 by providing an annular groove 82, subject to the fitting of the wire 63, in a recessed shape on a peripheral surface; and a lifting and lower motor 65 which lifts and lowers the top brush 4 by rotatively driving the winder 81 to wind and unwind the wire 63.
