<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and a program that are capable of extracting appropriate frames included in a moving image at an interval appropriate to the moving image. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of a frame interval corresponding to an instruction by a user, a plurality of frame groups are specified at an interval corresponding to the frame interval in a moving image.
