RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND RECEIVER, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive a radio wave for tire air pressure monitoring system and a radio wave for remote keyless entry system in a switchable fashion even when an ignition switch is ON.

SOLUTION: A radio communication system includes a receiver which receives a first radio wave transmitted according to a remote keyless entry system and a second radio wave transmitted according to a tire air pressure monitoring system. The radio communication system further includes a reception mode switching part which sets a first mode in which the first radio wave is received when the ignition switch of the vehicle is OFF, and sets a second mode in which the second radio wave is received when the ignition switch of the vehicle is ON; and a reception part which receives the first radio wave or second radio wave according to which of the first reception mode and first reception mode is set. The reception mode switching part sets the first mode when a request to set the first mode is made while the second mode is set.
