<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive a radio wave for tire air pressure monitoring system and a radio wave for remote keyless entry system in a switchable fashion even when an ignition switch is ON. <P>SOLUTION: A radio communication system includes a receiver which receives a first radio wave transmitted according to a remote keyless entry system and a second radio wave transmitted according to a tire air pressure monitoring system. The radio communication system further includes a reception mode switching part which sets a first mode in which the first radio wave is received when the ignition switch of the vehicle is OFF, and sets a second mode in which the second radio wave is received when the ignition switch of the vehicle is ON; and a reception part which receives the first radio wave or second radio wave according to which of the first reception mode and first reception mode is set.
