<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device which can suppress the number of times a user inputs information. <P>SOLUTION: An information providing device comprises: vehicle information detection means for detecting vehicle information including at least the speed of a vehicle 100; a database 7 for managing POI information in map data; approached-place location means for locating a vehicle-approaching place being approached by the vehicle 100 on the basis of the vehicle information detected by the vehicle information detection means; request estimation means for estimating a user request from the POI information included in the vehicle approaching place; POI information retrieval means for retrieving POI information related to the user request estimated by the request estimation means from POI information stored in the database 7; and notification means for notifying the user of a retrieval result retrieved by the POI information retrieval means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
