Process for preparing lead titanate powder

Process for preparing lead titanate powder, which provides for the preparation of a mixture of powders of titanium dioxide and litharge (lead oxide) or red lead, firing the mixture at a temperature of from 750 to 1000@C over a period of from 10 to 50 hours and also comminuting the product produced. The molar ratio of PbO to TiO2 in the mixture is from 1.01 to 1.05. Particle size composition of the titanium dioxide: from 45 to 60 mu m, at most 5% by mass from 2 to 45 mu m, from 90 to 98% by mass below 2 mu m, at most 5% by mass, and particle size composition of the litharge or the red lead: from 50 to 100 mu m, at most 1% by mass from 4 to 40 mu m, from 89 to 95% by mass below 4 mu m, at most 10% by mass.
