<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient and economic process in a method for producing α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid includes: a process (A) of obtaining reaction liquid containing α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid by bringing olefin or α,β-unsaturated aldehyde as a raw material into contact with molecular oxygen in a liquid phase in the presence of noble metal-containing catalyst and a solvent under pressurization; a process (B) of obtaining α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid by separating the reaction liquid into gas and liquid by flash distillation and separating α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid from the liquid by distillation; a process (C) of making the liquid from which the α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid is separated in the process (B) absorb the gas generated by the flash distillation; and a process (D) of making the liquid having absorbed the gas in the process (C) absorb unreacted raw material and solvent in exhaust gas from the process (A). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
