<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a wadalite compound, with which a film-shaped wadalite compound is formed on a substrate without being so much restrained by heat resistance of the substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a wadalite compound represented by compositional formula of Ca<SB POS="POST">12</SB>Al<SB POS="POST">(14-x)</SB>Si<SB POS="POST">x</SB>O<SB POS="POST">32</SB>Cl<SB POS="POST">(x+2)</SB>(where x=0 to 4) includes: (i) a step of preparing an amorphous material A represented by compositional formula of Ca<SB POS="POST">12</SB>Al<SB POS="POST">(14-x)</SB>Si<SB POS="POST">x</SB>O<SB POS="POST">(33+x/2)</SB>(where x=0 to 4); and (ii) a step of generating the wadalite compound by treating the material A with chlorine at a temperature below 850°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
