PURPOSE: A cutting device is provided to automatically return a cutter to the inside a case by an elastic member when a user stops pushing a bottom with a thumb. CONSTITUTION: A cutting device comprises a case(1), a cutter(2), a button(3), and an elastic member. A front end(13) and a rear end(14) of the case are faced to each other and opened. An upside(11) and a lateral side(12) of the case are extended between the front and rear ends of the case and formed at a right angle to each other. The cutter includes a blade(21) and a blade face(22). The blade faces the opposite side of the upside of the case, and the blade face is arranged inside the case parallel to the lateral side of the case. At least a part of the cutter is moved into and out of the case through the front end of the case. The button is joined to the cutter. At least a part of the button is exposed to outside of the upside of the case, thereby being slid along the upside. The elastic member is installed inside the case and joined to the button. The elastic member provides an elastic force to the rear end of the case so that the button is returned. |
