<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a multi-viewpoint image. <P>SOLUTION: A filter process is performed, concerning each pixel of an input image signal formed by a two-dimensional image signal, on three pixels of a target pixel and left and right pixels adjacent thereto to generate an enhancement signal. The enhancement signal is added to or subtracted from each pixel of the input image to obtain an output signal. Using the output signal, differences between the output signals for respective viewpoints, that is, a signal difference between viewpoints, are made the same to realize three-dimensional stereoscopic vision at a plurality of viewpoints, realizing the three-dimensional stereoscopic vision by multiple viewpoints with less crosstalk.
