<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission system capable of reducing the capacity of a storage device mounted on an on-vehicle machine. <P>SOLUTION: An on-vehicle machine A (300-1) and an on-vehicle machine B (300-2) set, as an emergency degree, a difference between time of the passage of the own vehicle through the accessible area based on a map showing an accessible area and the speed of an own vehicle and time for consuming data received thus far, and notify an access point 200 of the emergency degree.
