<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire capable of establishing high-dimensional compatibility between performance on a wet road and performance on a snowy and icy road. <P>SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire 10, an inclined groove 100 is curved to get closer to a tread width direction D<SB POS="POST">T</SB>toward the outside of the tread width direction D<SB POS="POST">T</SB>, and crosses an inclined groove 100 which is formed on the reverse side in reference to a tire equator line CL. Additionally, a branched circumferential groove 200, which branches off from an intermediate portion of the inclined groove 100 and which is elongated along a circumferential direction D<SB POS="POST">C</SB>of the tire, is formed.
