<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor having improved heat dissipation and productivity. <P>SOLUTION: A reactor 1A comprises: a cylindrical coil 2; a magnetic core 3A having an inner core part 31 arranged inside of the coil 2 and an outer core part 32A arranged outside of the coil 2 and defining a closed magnetic path with the inner core part 31; and a case 4 housing the coil 2 and the magnetic core 3A. The case 4 consists of non-magnetic metal such as aluminium, and is constituted by a pair of bottomed cylindrical case pieces 41, 42. The outer core part 32A consists of a molded body of a mixture (a cured molded body) containing magnetic powders and resin, and is integrally formed on the bottomed cylindrical case pieces 41, 42. The case 4 and the outer core part 32A are integrally formed, thereby an adhesion of the reactor 1A can be improved, as a result, its heat dissipation can be enhanced.
