<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a scribe line by using an appropriate scribe head according to the type of scribe line. <P>SOLUTION: The device is a scribe device for forming a plurality of scribe lines on a substrate and includes a first scribe unit 11 having a first scribe head and forming a first scribe line on the substrate, and a second scribe unit 12 having a second scribe head and forming a second scribe line on the substrate. The first scribe head includes a holder holding member 23, and a holder 24 capable of being mounted with a cutter wheel 42 at a top end thereof and supported rotationally freely around an axis vertical to a work surface to the holder holding member 23.
