<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay device and a route selection method that can achieve routing that takes into account a greening rate of power. <P>SOLUTION: A packet relay device has: a port to which a packet is inputted; and a route selection processing part deciding a transfer destination of the inputted packet. The packet relay device also has a power feeding information acquisition processing part acquiring information on a supplied power including information on a power amount generated by recyclable energy. The power feeding information acquisition processing part acquires, from each relay device, the information on the power amount generated by the recyclable energy.
