<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing a high quality acrylic carbon fiber bundle, by optimizing the manufacturing method in consideration of effects on material costs, equipment investment and utility costs in respective processes and processing modes, and selecting the optimized processing mode. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an acrylic carbon fiber bundle, comprises: heating an acrylic precursor fiber bundle for 25 minutes or more in an oxidative atmosphere having a temperature of 200-300°C to obtain single fiber density of 1.27-1.36 g/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>; then bring the fiber bundle into contact with a surface of a heating body having a surface temperature of 280-400°C for 10-120 seconds; and then heating the fiber bundle in an inert atmosphere having a temperature of 1200°C or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
