WATER-COOLED TRIANGULAR CEILING STRUCTURE FOR FLASH SMELTING FURNACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a triangular ceiling structure capable of protecting bricks constituting a triangular ceiling part of a flash smelting furnace for copper smelting from a thermal damage and improving durability of the triangular ceiling part against heat load.

SOLUTION: The water-cooled triangular ceiling structure includes a water-cooled copper jacket having an inner cold-water path arranged to be sandwiched between a plurality of bricks constituting the triangular ceiling part of the flash smelting furnace abutting side faces of the bricks at a predetermined interval. Thus, because all of the bricks constituting the triangular ceiling part can be efficiently cooled with a minimal copper jacket, the durability of the triangular ceiling part of the flash smelting furnace against the heat load can be improved with a low cost.
