<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for extracting a sub-time series analogous to a reference series from a time series. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: converting a time series and a reference series on the basis of each of change tendencies of the time series and the reference series; dividing the converted time series into a plurality of sub-time series; calculating an edition distance between each sub-time series and the converted reference series for each sub-time series among the sub-time series; and extracting a sub-time series analogous to the reference series among the sub-time series on the basis of the calculated edition distance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
