PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of variation in luminescence properties against the target luminescence properties when the luminescence properties of each group are combined or synthesized, without increasing the accuracy of grouping of the luminescence properties.

SOLUTION: When plural LED elements 3 extracted from plural groups are combined, an LED element 3 which constitutes a combination near the center of a region of desired properties is selected from each group and then the LED elements are mounted on a substrate, or when plural LED slave chips 9 extracted from plural groups are combined, an LED chip 9 which constitutes a combination near the center of a region of desired properties is selected from each group and then the LED chips are packaged.
