<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fireproof double glazing excellent in fire resistance, and a fireproof double glazing unit. <P>SOLUTION: Fireproof double glazing 12 of the present invention includes a fire-extinguishing agent 40. The fire-extinguishing agent 40 is a powder fire-extinguishing chemical and the main component thereof is sodium bicarbonate. The fire-extinguishing agent 40 is provided in a hollow part 24 of a spacer 16 of the fireproof double glazing 12, mixed in primary sealants 18A and 18B and a secondary sealant 22 of the fireproof double glazing 12, and also provided in a hollow part 42 of a frame body 30 of a fireproof double glazing unit 10. Arrangement parts of the fire-extinguishing agent 40 are not limited to the above-mentioned parts, and the fire-extinguishing agent 40 needs to be provided near the primary sealants 18A and 18B.
