<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening building material which can reduce difference in height between a width surface of a glass frame member framing a multi-layered glass and a multi-layered glass surface, and is excellent in designability, thermal insulation, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An opening building material includes: a plurality of glasses 9, 9; a spacer 8 arranged between the glasses; glass frame members 13, 14 arranged to at least one side of four peripheral sides of the glass; and edge members 26, 26. The spacer 8 is adhered to inside surfaces 9c, 9c of the glass with a primary seal 15. The edge member 26 has a base part 27 and an extension part 28 extending from the base part to arrange the base part 27 in a position facing headers 9b, 9b of the glass and to adhere the edge member 26, the spacer 8, and the glasses 9, 9 with a secondary seal 20 by inserting the extension part 28 between the glasses 9, 9. The glass frame members 13, 14 have a rail-take-in part 25, which has an U-shaped cross section and is comprised of a depth wall 23 and width walls 24, 24 to be fixed while taking the edge member 26 and end parts of the glasses 9, 9 into the rail-take-in part 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
