<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gate type mold apparatus in which a gate mark to be formed neither deteriorates design characteristics nor has an optical negative impact in forming a cover lens composing a lamp fitting for a vehicle by injection-molding by means of the valve gate type mold apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The cover lens 3 includes a design surface that transmits light emitted from a light source and radiates it to the outside, an annular part that rises from an edge of the design surface and extends annularly to the housing side at the rear, and a level difference part that bends at the housing side edge, which is part of the annular part and extends in roughly the same direction as the design surface. A valve gate 60 is provided in a level difference part forming area 54 for forming the level difference part in the cover lens of a cavity 51 of the mold apparatus 20. A cooling liquid flow passage 57a where a cooling liquid flows is disposed in an area sandwiched by the valve gate 60 and an annular part forming area 53 for forming the annular part in the cover lens of the cavity 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
