<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately switch a connection form depending on communication environment. <P>SOLUTION: A communication device performs communication by network connection by using either of a first connection form of directly communicating with a communication partner in a network including no base station, and a second connection form of communicating with a communication partner in a network formed by a base station that is any of the communication partner, another communication device, or the communication device itself. The communication device: detects the number of other devices connected to the network to which the communication device connects; determines a connection form to be used from the first and second connection forms on the basis of the detected number of other devices; and switches its connection form from a connection form in use to the determined connection form when the connection form in use is different from the determined connection form. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
