<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of supplying molten metal and device for the same, which can simplify a configuration and highly accurately control molten metal supply amount. <P>SOLUTION: First, by an on-off valve 12, a molten metal supply pipe 8 is closed. Next, a molten metal supply space 24 is decompressed. Then, when a pressure of the molten metal supply space 24 is reduced to a first pressure value, the decompression is stopped to maintain the molten metal supply space 24 in the decompressed state. Based on a relationship between target molten metal supply amount, a volume of the molten metal supply space 24 and the first pressure value, a second pressure value which is a pressure of the molten metal supply space 24 when the target molten metal supply amount is achieved is calculated. The molten metal supply space 24 is maintained in the decompressed state, and the on-off valve 12 is opened to fill the molten metal 6 in a holding furnace 7 in an injection sleeve 5 in the decompressed state. Then, when the pressure of the molten metal supply space 24 is recovered to the second pressure value along with reduction in the volume of the molten metal supply space 24, the on-off valve 12 is closed to stop filling of the molten metal 6 to the injection sleeve 5.
