<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of defects in a display panel when manufacturing a user terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the user terminal and the display panel thereof. The user terminal comprises a touch panel for detecting a touch generated in a surface thereof, and a display panel disposed under the touch panel to display an image. The display panel includes: glass plates each of which includes an active area for displaying an image and a light shielding area at an edge area of the active area; a liquid crystal layer provided between the glass plates; and spacers which are mounted on one of the glass plates and are received in the liquid crystal layer to support flow of liquid crystals in the liquid crystal layer and to sustain a gap between the glass plates. In the display panel, the spacers include dummy spacers disposed in the light shielding area between the glass plates to invert a flow direction of liquid crystals advancing toward the light shielding area from the active area. Therefore, liquid crystals flow more smoothly in the display panel of the user terminal and are uniformly distributed between the glass plates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
