<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair wherein installation of a gas cylinder for the back is easy. <P>SOLUTION: One end part of the gas cylinder 26 for the back is installed with a support member 80, and the other end is provided with a fourth shaft 91. The support member 80 is fitted on a third shaft 32 installed through a base bracket 30 provided in a base 2. The forth shaft 91 fits in pin reception grooves 93 of a pin reception member 92 fixed to a front end part of an intermediate metal fitting 5 from above. The intermediate metal fitting 5 retreats and slants rearward by rocking, so that a gas spring 26 for the back expands and contracts. The support member 80 is fitted on the third shaft 32 by bringing the gas cylinder 26 for the back into an attitude wherein the gas cylinder for the back is raised. The detachment of the fourth shaft 91 is blocked by a stopper 95 inserted into the intermediate metal fitting 5 from the front. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
