<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel coupling agent for rubber and carbon black which is suitable as a raw material of a tire exhibiting excellent wet grip performance and low-fuel consumption performance, and to provide a rubber composition for tire. <P>SOLUTION: The coupling agent for rubber and carbon black includes a sulfide compound represented by formula (I). The rubber composition for tire includes the coupling agent.
