<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel device which assures stable locking performance using a comparatively simple locking mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: Each of brake shoes 2 installed opposingly on the side faces of a vehicle wheel 1 has a surface to be manipulated 2a which inclines with respect to the axial direction of the wheel 1 on the side opposite the wheel 1 and is arranged displaceable in the axial direction of the wheel 1 and furnished with an actuator 3 able to make a locking operation by moving in the direction across the axial direction of the wheel 1, abuts against the surface 2a, and displaces the shoe 2 to the position to make a pressure contact with the side face of the wheel 1 and to make an unlocking operation in which the actuator abuts against the surface 2a or separates therefrom and displaces the shoe 2 to a position not coming into contact with the side face of the wheel 1. The actuator 3 is supported rotatably by the rotary shaft 1a of the wheel 1 and is able to abut against and separate from the surface 2a in association with rotation around the rotary shaft 1a. The two brake shoes 2 are arranged opposingly on the side faces of each wheel 1, and the surfaces to be manipulated 2a of the brake shoes 2 are inclined to the opposite sides with respect to the axial direction of the wheel 1, and the actuator 3 has two abutting parts 3a able to abut against and separate from the surfaces to be manipulated 2a of the brake shoes 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
