Transport and leisure apparatus which can be used on the snow, allowing the user to slide down slopes which are usually usable only with the aid of skis, the user being in the seated or kneeling position. It comprises a skid whose shape and dimensions are similar to those of a monoski, at the front of which are fixed two bindings 6 and 7 making it possible to fasten the shoes of the user relative to the skid, which skid comprises at the rear of its central part an ergonomic seat consisting of a semi-rigid shell 10, of padding 14, and of a device for holding the pelvis of the user relative to the skid, which apparatus additionally comprises a device for controlling the movements of the skid, consisting of a handle ending at its two ends in a surface allowing it to rest on the snow, which apparatus additionally receives a cloth (canvas) shell 15 intended to protect the user from impacts and from the cold. This apparatus can be used for leisure or sport in the same way as downhill skiing or off-piste skiing. <IMAGE>
