PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head driving device capable of restraining increase of an installation space in a horizontal direction while restraining hang-down of a flat cable by heightening rigidity against a tare weight of the flat cable. SOLUTION: In this head driving device 60, a flat cable 63 is arranged such that a head part side cable mounting part 65 is curved into an approximately U-shape along an extending direction of the flat cable 63 at a portion between a support member side cable mounting part 64 and a head part side cable mounting part 65 so as to follow the movement of a head part 6 and move in a predetermined direction (X-direction), and that a longitudinal direction of a vertical cross section of the flat cable is inclined against a horizontal face and a perpendicular face at a portion between the support member side cable mounting part 64 and the head part side cable mounting part 65.
