METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING RELAY SATELLITE BROADCASTING

PURPOSE: A satellite broadcasting relay transmission method and a system using the same are provided to solve problems generated by property of a satellite signal such as the reception sensitivity decrease in a shadowed area and reception performance degradation due to foul weather. CONSTITUTION: An optical amplification combiner(130) generates a broadcasting/communication optical signal by multiplexing a satellite optical signal and optical communication signal. An optical fiber transmission path(140) transmits the broadcasting/optical signal. An optical signal de-multiplexer(150) de-multiplexes the broadcasting/optical signal transmitted through the optical fiber communication path to the satellite optical signal and the optical communication signal. A satellite optical receiver(170) restores the de-multiplexed satellite optical signal to a satellite broadcasting signal. A signal transmitter(180) transmits the restored satellite broadcasting signal to a terminal.
