An apparatus and a method for supplying an air conditioner with DC power source are provided to increase space efficiency by separately mounting a compressor module integrated with a converter and an inverter circuit, and a capacitor for boosting and equalization, and reduce manufacturing cost by using a single low-capacity control device by reducing switching control amount. A reactor(22) reduces harmonics of three phase alternating current power source. A compressor module(23) converts the three phase alternating current power source into direct current power source, and converts an equalized direct current voltage into an alternating current voltage in accordance with a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) control signal. A control unit(26) controls the compressor module in accordance with a load change or a power source voltage change. A boosting unit(24) boosts an output voltage of a converter. An equalizing unit(25) equalizes an output voltage of the boosting unit. |
