ULTRASONIC INSPECTION METHOD AND ULTRASONIC INSPECTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic inspection method that can precisely and efficiently detect a defect etc., even in a place and a region where it is difficult to perform ultrasonic inspection, and to provide an ultrasonic inspection device.

SOLUTION: An ultrasonic wave is transmitted from a phased array probe 2 to an inspection object part 101 to be inspected, and a reflected wave of the ultrasonic wave reflected on an inspection object part 101 is received to detect a defect of the inspection object part 101 with a signal of the received ultrasonic wave. The phased array probe 2 is arranged on one side with respect to a weld line L of a weld zone 101, and moved on a body 100 to be inspected along the weld line L. A plurality of ultrasonic waves which converge on an arbitrary point in a direction substantially orthogonal to the moving direction of the phased array probe 2 for each of a plurality of scanning positions are transmitted while made different in refraction angles. A sectional image including the direction substantially orthogonal to the moving direction and a plate thickness direction of the body to be inspected as axes is generated from signals of received reflected wave for each of the plurality of scanning positions. The defect is detected from the generated sectional images.
