<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distribution board installing instrument, which is suitable for certainly and easily installing a newly-installed distribution board at an installation place in an intermediate part in a row of existing distribution boards. <P>SOLUTION: A distribution board installing instrument includes a pair of instrument body portions which has jaw-shaped hook portions capable of being hooked to folded portions formed so as to project to a distribution board case back surface both side edges, at both ends in a longitudinal direction, and extending/contracting in the longitudinal direction to change the total length thereof; engaging portions capable of being engaged with portions to be engaged which is provided in intermediate areas of each pair of the instrument body portions; and driving portions for transmitting driving force by engaging those, and capable of adjusting the total length of those by synchronously expanding/contracting the instrument body portions. The pair of instrument body portions may have various shapes according to the presence/absence or layout of the folded portion on a back surface of an existing distribution board, and a relationship between the layout of the existing distribution board and an installation place of a newly-installed distribution board, and the like.
