A power conversion device comprising: an inverter device in which a plurality of power semiconductor modules are provided, the inverter device being housed in an inverter case; and a DC/DC converter device in which a step-down circuit and/or a booster circuit is provided, the DC/DC converter device being housed in a converter case secured in a detachable fashion to the inverter case; wherein the inverter case has: a first flow channel formation in which is formed a first coolant flow channel into which is inserted a power semiconductor module, the first flow channel formation being in thermal contact with the converter case; and a second flow channel formation in which is formed a second coolant flow channel into which is inserted a power semiconductor module, the second coolant flow channel being provided parallel to the first coolant flow channel, and the second flow channel formation being in thermal contact with the converter case; the DC/DC converter device has an inductor element and a switching element substrate on which is mounted a switching element controlling the electric current flowing to the inductor element; and the inductor element and the switching element substrate are positioned in an area in thermal contact with the first and second flow channel formations of the converter case.
