Injection nozzles of this type have an undesirable sharp-edged shoulder (50) at the transition between the filter hole (34) and the fuel channel (32), which may cause fatigue fracture and which must be removed electrolytically in an additional working operation. The invention dispenses with the need for this additional, technically complicated finishing operation. To this end, a connecting hole (52) is drilled between the filter hole (34) and the fuel channel (32) by a deep-hole drill and adapted to the diameter of the fuel channel (32) so that the wall (58) of the channel intersects the cross-sectional profile of the connecting hole (52) only in the region of the external side of the W (56).
