Process for producing main charges and booster charges of hollow charges

The present invention deals with a process for producing main charges and booster charges, which are used in the case of hollow charges. The charges produced by the process described show an extraordinarily even distribution of the density over the entire body. Such an even density distribution cannot be accomplished in the hitherto known production processes for the booster charge and in the region of the hopper seat. The process is characterised in that, in the production of these charges, initially cylindrical pellets of the explosives used are prepared. These pellets have the diameter and the height of the desired charges or are slightly larger than these charges. From these pellets, the cavity is then worked out which corresponds either to the hopper space in the main charge or to the space for receiving the barrier. The cell surface is then brought to the desired form. The counting of the explosive is preferably carried out by means of computer-controlled machines and apparatus.
