<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring bar which allows securement of sufficient bonding strength between a shank part and an attachment part while enhancing vibration-proof performance, and by which cutting work with high accuracy can be stably performed. <P>SOLUTION: The boring bar includes: a shank part 1 in a shaft shape; and the attachment part 4 formed with an insert attachment seat 3 which is made of a steel material, and is disposed at a tip side of the shank part 1, and to which a cutting insert 2 having a cutting edge 2a is detachably mounted. The shank part 1 and the attachment part 4 are mutually bonded by a bonding adhesive. Assuming that a direction in which the cutting edge 2a of the cutting insert 2 mounted to the insert attachment seat 3 is protruded from an outer surface of the attachment part 4, among radial directions of the shank part 1, is a tool width direction, and that a direction perpendicular to the tool width direction is a tool thickness direction, a bonding plane 9 of the shank part 1 has a held part 11 formed in a convex or concave shape toward the tool thickness direction, and a bonding plane 19 of the attachment part 4 has a locking part 21 having a shape corresponding to the locked part 11 and locked with the locked part 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
