Method and device for pest control, especially for preservation of objects

The object is transferred into a climatic chamber and heated to about 55<o>C with hot air. Attainment of this temperature is controlled by measuring the core temperature. The temperature is maintained for at least 30 minutes and the object is then allowed to cool. The decisive feature for gentle treatment of the object is that the relative atmospheric humidity is kept constant during the temperature treatment. The climatic chamber can be a fixed installation or may be located on a vehicle, or else it may be erected from individual components around an object to be treated.
