<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive thin type geared motor which has a small height dimension without being influenced by an axial dimension of the motor, prevents only the motor from being protruded, and also does not require a complicated mechanism for removing backlash. <P>SOLUTION: A geared motor includes a motor 20, a first gear case 30 and a second gear case 40. The motor 20 includes a motor shaft 21 having a motor pinion 22 as a first stage pinion integrally formed therewith. The first gear case 30 includes a reduction shaft 34 having an orthogonal shaft gear 35 engaged with the motor pinion, and a second pinion 36 having a rotation shaft commonly used with the orthogonal shaft gear 35.
