<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance detection type input device enabling stable detection even if a pressing position within an operation range on a circumference is varied. <P>SOLUTION: A capacitance detection type input device 101 includes: a flexible substrate 10; a conductive rubber 20 superimposed on the flexible substrate 10; a ring-shaped moving plate 30 which is integrated with the conductive rubber 20 and made from metal or resin; and a frame 50 and a reinforcing plate 40 for fixing the conductive rubber 20 while superimposing that on the flexible substrate 10. The conductive rubber 20 has a tapered shape 22 opposite to a fixed electrode 61 through an insulation layer 11. At an upper part of the moving plate 30 of the conductive rubber 20, a ring-shaped projecting portion 24 having a semicircular cross section is formed.
