MOBILE STATION POSITIONING METHOD AND DEVICE IN HETEROGENEOUS NETWORK

The embodiments of the present invention relate to the technical field of communications. Disclosed are a mobile station positioning method and device in a heterogeneous network. The method includes: receiving a positioning request message sent by a mobile station via a mobile management entity or a relay node, wherein the positioning request message at least carries the cell identification of a cell to which the mobile station belongs; determining the cell type of the cell to which the mobile station belongs according to the cell identification, wherein the cell type of the cell to which the mobile station belongs is a low-power node cell or a macrocell; and if the cell type of the cell to which the mobile station belongs is a low-power node cell, judging whether the coverage radius of the belonging cell is less than or equal to a radius threshold value which satisfies a positioning precision, and if it is, then regarding the cell identification of the belonging cell as a geographical position identification of the mobile station. The embodiments of the present invention can locate a mobile station precisely by continuing to use the positioning method used in the homogeneous network in a heterogeneous network.
