The present invention relates to a bed in which a support panel with a mattress arranged thereon consists of a set of multiple divided parts, and which is freely foldable and unfoldable in vertical and horizontal directions. More particularly, the present invention relates to a novel free folding bed in which the parts of the support panel for the back and thighs of a user can be folded in a vertical direction after being folded in a horizontal direction. Thus, the free folding bed of the present invention may be freely folded or unfolded in vertical and horizontal directions according to need, thus enabling the user or a caregiver to use the bed after changing the position of the bed as desired so as to achieve significantly improved convenience. The free folding bed according to the present invention consists essentially of: a main frame; a support unit comprising a back support unit, a buttocks support unit, a thigh support unit, and a calf support unit, each of which consists of multiple divided parts each having a vertical rotating shaft and a horizontal rotating shaft, wherein the support unit is arranged on the main frame; horizontal displacement means for rotating each support unit about the horizontal rotating shaft so as to move each support unit upward and downward; and vertical displacement means for rotating each support unit about the vertical rotating shaft so as to move each support unit upward and downward. |
