The assembly (1) has a shaft (32) secured at side walls (31) of a vehicle, and a luggage compartment insert (20) attached at the shaft and comprising a retaining groove, a supporting projection, a flexible front projection and a flexible rear projection and a guide section, lower front end surfaces, and supporting projection front surface. The insert is guided by the shaft until the shaft is placed in the groove and the projections if the insert is placed farther to a rear side of the vehicle than the shaft that is moved to a front side of the vehicle.
