The method involves outputting multimedia data (21) to an output apparatus (30), and determining a media-related keyword (41). A search term (71) for the media-related keyword is constructed. A media context (51) is retrieved in dependence of the search term. The media context is displayed as a representation of a context by a client processing unit (61) with an own output device (62). A pattern recognition method is applied to the multimedia data to determine the media-related keyword. A retrieval query is carried out in an Internet (50). The output apparatus is selected from a TV set, a computer screen or a projector. The client processing unit is selected from a smartphone and a tablet computer. The recognition of the keyword is performed by different pattern recognition methods such as speech recognition method, musician identifying method, pattern recognition method and text recognition method. An independent claim is also included for a device for displaying a media context of multimedia contents.
