The embodiments of the present invention provide a method, a user equipment (UE) and a network-side equipment for selecting uplink common E-DCH resources. The method comprises: the UE selects the resource type of uplink common E-DCH resources for transmitting uplink data; according to the selected resource type of uplink common E-DCH resources and the current acquired resource type of uplink common E-DCH resources for transmitting confirmation of downlink data, said UE indicates the selected resource type of uplink common E-DCH resources to the network-side equipment. The embodiments of the present invention enable the UE to select other types of uplink common E-DCH resources for transmitting uplink data when it has already acquired a type of uplink common E-DCH resources for transmitting confirmation of downlink data, and therefore increase the flexibility for data transmission.
